Connie Ferguson returns to work

Connie Ferguson lost the love of her life, Shona Ferguson, in July.

The veteran actor died on 30 July from COVID-19-related complications symptoms at the age of 47.

Since then, Connie has been at home, mourning his death.

She recently returned to work and received a warm welcome from the staff at Ferguson Films.

Taking to Instagram, Connie shared a short video showing a welcome celebration that her colleagues threw for her.

“Team #thequeen #fergusonfilms I love you all so much! Thank you for today,” she captioned her post.

She added that she is grateful to be back at work and that her purpose is bigger than herself.

“It’s good to do what you love knowing it’s for a purpose bigger than yourself. I’m grateful that we continue to walk this journey together, and all our wins and victories are to the glory of the almighty God. In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,” she wrote.

Connie and Shona are the founders of Ferguson Films, which produced many award-winning series including, ‘Rockville’, ‘The Imposter’, ‘The Queen’, ‘Igazi’, ‘Kings of Jo’burg’, ‘The Throne’, ‘The Gift’, and ‘Unmarried’.
