ANC promises action after councillors accused of looting food parcels

The ANC has urged its structures to investigate and take action against members involved in misappropriating relief packages and other corrupt activities during the national lockdown. Municipal councillors across the country have been accused of breaking lockdown regulations and in some cases stealing essential goods from the poorest of the poor. ANC spokesperson Pule Mabe said all the party’s structures have been urged to investigate cases of misappropriation and take action.

Mabe said ANC councillors should be seen extending a helping hand to communities during this crisis and should not seek to benefit through corruption. Coronavirus Hotline Number: 0800 029 999 from 8 am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday
