From the village to the world

Meet Mabushe Tsima, a village born final year mining engineering Student and Entrepreneur from Limpopo, SEKHUKHUNE, Ngwanamatlang, the founder of PTwear.

“This brand came long after I used to sleep in the toilet in 2017 at varsity, then worked hard to ensure that I secure a bursary to be able to pay for my accommodation and fees.” Says Tsima.  “After doing so, I saved money from 2018 until 2020 October in order to fund my shoe brand. I did not know how and with what funds to use, but I presented the brand to my peers and they loved it.

We obtained sneakers and branded from a supplier – but as any business does, we suffered setbacks – 11 pairs where destroyed. However we moved forward, as we want to become the best selling footwear brand in Africa and also create a manufacturing footwear plant in Limpopo by 2026, for casual, military and mining products. As a final year mining engineering student we have the technical skills to move forward.

Future projects include a shoe design for blind people which utilizes sensors to detect obstacles in the way. PTwear doesn’t just want to be a shoe brand but an innovator in the industry.
